CHARLOT MARINE INC. has been repairing boats in the Pacific Northwest for more than twenty five years. Located on Tomahawk Island in Portland Oregon, the company (pronounced "Shar-Low") continues its long tradition of master craftsmanship.
Established in 1974 by shipwright Deny Charlot, the company earned a solid reputation for its intricate woodworking, painting and ability to tackle any repair or installation job.
At 6,000+ square feet, Charlot Marine's shop has room to fit two or three vessels, with additional work space in the yard. We share office space with Tomahawk Boat Works, a do-it-yourself boat repair yard, and Sexton's Chandlery, one of the last true chandleries.
Brooks Dollar, the current owner of Charlot Marine, installed a state of the art hydraulic swaging machine. The rigging shop holds an inventory capable of swaging 2.5mm - 3/32" to 11mm - 7/16" wire. Your rigging materials can be dropped off or shipped to the shop for hydraulic swaging.
Fixing boats is our passion. We'd love to help you rig, repair or remodel your boat. Let us help you sail the high seas again!
